Northern Territory Climate

Northern Territory climate has two zones. The first is the tropical north, which includes Darwin and the Kakadu and Katherine regions. The second is Central Australia, which includes Alice Springs, Tennant Creek and Uluru (Ayers Rock).

The Northern Territory climate of the central region is a semi-arid desert environment. The humidity in Central Australia is normally quite low and the tropical rains don't usually get that far south. Nights can get fairly cold in the desert especially in the winter months.
